Bengal too hot to handle

Himachal had no answer to a fiery Bengal side when they were thrashed by 200 runs at Bangalore today. Dhara Gujjar's classy ton and Rumeli Dhar's all-round masterclass ensured that Bengal continue winning momentum in Womens Senior One Day Trophy with three wins in as many matches.
Put to bat first Bengal posted a fighting 272/6 thanks to Dhara's 115 off 148 balls while Rumeli hit a fluent 61-ball 65.
An elated CAB Jt secy Debabrata Das congratulated the team saying: "Our aim was to go there and play good cricket. We are very happy to see that we have been able to execute our plan well. The girls have shown great spirit and we hope to continue this momentum inn next matches."
While defending Rumeli removed two Himachal batters in the last two balls of the first over and completed her first hattrick on the first ball of her next to reduce opponents 2/3 in 2.1 overs.
Himachal top order batters Harleen Deol, Kashish Verma and Monika Devi became Rumeli's victim.
Himachal failed to recover after the disastrous start to the chase as Bengal bolwers Saika Ishaque (3-8), Sukanya Parida (2-31) and Gouher Sultana (2-6) took wickets in regular intervals to bundle Himachal for 72 runs in 33 overs.
Dhara stitched two important partnerships, while the highest one was with Rumeli of 108 runs and 79-run stand with Mita Paul (32).
Prativa Rana added some crucial runs with quickfire 24 off 16 deliveries. Harleen B Deol was the highest wicket-taker for Himachal with 3 for 66.
