Winning start for Bengal Women's

Dhara Gujjar's unbeaten 92 powered Bengal to 3-wicket victory against Rajasthan in their Womens Senior One Day Trophy opener on Sunday.
Put to bat first Rajasthan managed to score 206/8 riding on skipper Jasia Akhter's 106 while Bengal bolwers Gouher Sultana and Rukmoni Roy bagged 2 wickets apiece.
Bengal got off to a shaky start to the chase losing Vanita and Mita Paul early to get reduced to 6/2 while Dhara stiched two important partnerships with Rumeli Dhar and Parna to turn the match in favour of Bengal.
Rumeli went back on 28 adding 54 runs with Dhara while Parna made a match-winning 95-run stand to guide Bengal towards victory.
Dhara hit a fluent 129-ball 92 not out while Parna Paul made 54. SS Kalal bagged 3 wickets for Rajasthan.
Earlier experienced campaigner Jhulan Goswami gave Bengal early breakthrough by removing Rajasthan opener P Sharma in the third over. Bengal bowlers kept taking wickets in regular intervals to reduce Rajasthan to 50/5 while Jasia fought a lone battle.
B Meena (40) and S Sidhu (23) added some crucial runs in the last 10 overs for Rajasthan.
