Pintu bags 5 as Green team lift
inaugural CAB U25 Emerging Players League trophy

Pintu Kumar registered a 5-wivket haul as CAB Green team became the inaugural CAB U25 Emerging Players League champion by defeating Blue team by 4 wickets in a thrilling match today at Deshbandhu Park.
CAB President Avishek Dalmiya, Secretary Snehasish Ganguly, Jt secy Debabrata Das and treasurer Debasish Ganguly along with CAB Committee members were in the attendance.
October being the breast cancer awareness month, CAB had organised the U25 Emerging Players' League to spread awareness about breast cancer. This was part of CAB's initiative which a brainchild of CAB President Avishek Dalmiya.
On the occasion of the final two breast cancer survivors Bandana Singh and Urmila Das were felicitated by CAB President Mr. Avishek Dalmiya, Secretary Snehasish Ganguly along with other office bearers and committee members. Also present were Dr. Vikas Agarwal and Dr. Viva Agarwal who were also felicitated.
Electing to bat first Blue team amassed 202 all out riding on Abhinav Saran's half-century and while chasing Green skipper Abhijit Bhagat played a fluent 67-run innings to wrap the match with 7.5 overs left to play.
While chasing Green team got off to a shaky start losing their openers early to get reduced to 34/2. Abhijit and Sourav Paul stiched a 79-run third-wicket partnership to build the foundation of the chase.
Sourav went back scoring 44 off Abhishek Tamang while Abhijit went on to score 67 off 91 deliveries containing 7 boundaries and 1 six to set the stage for victory.
Green were reduced to 179/3 after Abhijit went back off Prayas Roy Burman and Aditya Sharma made a patient 62-ball 25 not out to ensure Green the silverware.
Earlier Pintu removed top 3 Blue batters Abdul Kalam (1), Arghadeep Saha (20) and Prayas Roy Burman (13) early to reduced them to 40/3.
Yuvraj Keshwani continued his good form with the bat to steady Blue's with 82-ball 47 while skipper Agniv Pan added crucial 37 runs before becoming Pintu's victim.
Arin Roy removed Yuvraj while Abhinav hit 52 to take Blue's to a fighting score before the lower order failed to contribute much with the bat.
Pintu finished with 5 for 35 and Arin took 3 wickets for the Green team.
