CAB Green defeated Pink team by 17 runs by VJD method in a rain hit CAB U25 Emerging Players League match today at BCA Kalyani.
The match was reduced to a 30 overs per side affair due to rain. Put to bat first Pink team posted 129/6 and Green team made 109/4 in 22 overs before rain interrupted the game again and the result was decided by VJD method.
Earlier Pink skipper Sudip Gharami made a fluent 55 off 66 deliveries while Aditya Sharma was the highest wicket-taker for Green's taking 3 wickets for 31 runs. Vaibhab Yadav and Kaushik Maity bagged 1 wicket apiece.
While chasing Ayush Pandey gave Green team a brisk start with 41-ball 33 and Sk Asif Hussain hit 46 containing 3 sixes to turn the game in favour of the Green team.
