Office leagues to begin on CAB's initiative

27th September 2021
The CAB and Office Sports Federation today initiated a move to commence the office league and office tournament at the earliest.
A working group was formed today at a meeting held in CAB. It was attended by CAB President Avishek Dalmiya, Hony Secretary Snehashis Ganguly, Jt Secretary Debabrata Das, Ground Committee Chairman Madan Mohan Ghosh and Mr Pradip Kr Basu on behalf of Office Sports Federation (OSF).
It was decided that CAB will help OSF with fixture, ground and match officials. The matches have to be played according to the specifications and guidelines provided by CAB.
"The absence of these tournaments are causing problems in recruitment of new players. We don't want that to happen. So CAB has initiated a move to commence these tournaments at the earliest. We have also formed a working group for smooth functioning of the meet and have assured them with all support they need to conduct the tournaments ," said CAB President Avishek Dalmiya.
"We want to begin the meet in November if not earlier. We will help the OSF with all support they need including drawing fixtures and laying down specifications like using of designated match balls to keep the standard of the tournament uniform," said Hony Secretary Snehashis Ganguly.
Pradip Kr Basu added: "We welcome the gesture shown by CAB for commencing the office sports matches post the pandemic outbreak. We assure our best support and every cooperation for smooth conduct of the event."
