Sudip's at it again

Sudip Chatterjee continued his superb from with the bat as Barrackpore Bashers defeated Kolkata Heroes by 11 runs in Byju's Bengal T20 Challenge at Eden Gardens today.
Put to bat first Sudip smashed unbeaten 89 to help Barrackpore post 159/3 which is his fourth half-century this season. While chasing Kolkata were restricted to 148/7 as Sougata Dutta's 46-ball 72 went in vain.
While chasing Kolkata lost 4 top order batters for 30 runs. Mukesh Kumar drew the first blood removing Aamir Gani in the first over.
Ritwik Roy Chowdhury (20), Atanu Ghosh (4) and Karan Lal (1) were all back to the pavilion without contributing much while Sougata fought a lone battle smashing 6 sixes and 3 boundaries.
Wickets kept falling on the other end to make the chase harder and with 30 needed off the last over to win Sougata went back off Durgesh Dubey after hitting two consecutive sixes off the first two balls of that over.
Earlier Barrackpore openers did a good job as Sudip stitched a 64-run partnership till Ankur Paul (24) was removed by Aamir Gani.
Sudip carried on with youngster Kaif Ahamed and added 91 runs off the second wicket. The left-handed batter smashed 11 boundaries and 1 six en route to 89 not out off 55 balls.
Kaif made 32-ball 40 containing 2 sixes and 1 boundary before Alok Partap Singh sent him back in the last over. Barrackpore riding on their captain's superb knock and Kaif's crucial runs posted 159/3.
