Bowlers helped Durgapur Dazzlers thrash Kanchenjunga Warriors by 10 wickets in a rain hit Byju's Bengal T20 Challenge match today at Eden Gardens.
The game was reduced to a 5 overs per side affair. Put to bat first Kanchenjunga lost 7 wickets for 36 runs in their quota of overs and Durgapur openers Abhishek Das (16) and Abhishek Raman (18) stayed unbeaten till the end to win the match with 1 over left to play.
Earlier Durgapur bowlers put up a dominating performance against Kanchenjunga as Writtick Chatterjee picked up 3 wickets while Sayan Ghosh and Aritra Chatterjee bagged 2 wickets apiece to restrict them to a decent total.
Skipper Anustup Majumder opening the innings for Kanchenjunga scored 6-ball 12, highest for his team.
Kanchenjunga bowlers remained toothless against a steady Durgapur batting lineup while defending a low total.
