Kazi shines as Kharagpur Blasters end
Kanchenjunga Warriors' unbeaten run

Skipper Kazi Junaid Saifi struck an unbeaten 78 to lead Kharagpur Blasters from the front to hand Kanchenjunga Warriors their first defeat of the season in Byju's Bengal T20 Challenge today at Eden Gardens.
Kharagpur won the toss and put their opponents to bat first. Kanchenjunga amassed 131/9 in their quota of overs and Kharagpur rode on Kazi's 54-ball 78 crafted with 7 boundaries and 4 sixes to finish on 137/3.
While chasing the target of 132 runs Kharagpur lost Abhimanyu Easwaran on the second ball of the innings off Sayan.
Kazi mastered the chase with his fluent innings and single-handedly turned the game in favour of Kharagpur.
Prayas (14), Sayan Biswas (17) and Dip Chatterjee (20*) contributed useful runs to help Kharagpur skipper finish the game with 10 balls left to play. Sayan was highest wicket taker for Kanchenjunga taking 2 for 20.
Earlier Sandipan Das (Jr.) rattled Kanchenjunga batting lineup by bagging the wickets of 3 top order batters. Ayush Pandey, Sudip Gharmi and skipper Anustup Majumder went back quickly as Kanchenjunga got off to a shaky start.
Sumanta Gupta played a patient 44 off 39 balls containing 3 boundaries and 1 six to help Kanchenjunga post a fighting total.
Sumanta and opener Sayan Mondal (16) became Prayas Roy Burman's victim while the young all-rounder went on take 3 wickets for 24 as Kanchenjunga could reach 131/9.
