Kanchenjunga Warriors continue winning momentum

Mithilesh Das and Dipanjan Mukherjee's late cameos after a patient half-century by Sudip Gharami helped Kanchenjunga Warriors seal a nail-biting 4-wicket victory against Kolkata Heroes today in Byju's Bengal T20 Challenge at Eden Gardens.
Electing to bat first Kolkata posted 174 losing 4 wickets while Kanchenjunga reached the target with 4 wickets in hand to carry on winning momentum.
Needing 25 off last 2 overs to win Dipanjan hit a six and 2 boundaries off Geet Puri as he leaked 22 runs in the penaltymate over which took the game away from Kolkata.
Chasing a target of 175 runs on a lively wicket Kanchenjunga lost 3 wickets for 67 runs losing Suprodip Debnath (11), Aviripn Gupta (18) and skipper Anustup Majumder (1).
Sudip once again showed off patience to build a fighting 58 off 40 balls under pressure containing 5 boundaries and 2 sixes to stich a 54-run partnership with experience batter Sumanta Gupta (34).
Both settled batters were later removed by Ramesh Prasad to turn the game in Kolkata's favour but Mithilesh smashed 3 sixes to score a quickfire 7-ball 23 and Dipanjan hit 16 off 7 balls to win it for Kanchenjunga with 4 balls left to play.
Earlier after losing both openers cheaply skipper Ritwik put up another good show under pressure as he hit 62 off 53 deliveries followed by Suvankar's whirlwind unbeaten 66, enabled Kolkata put up a fighting total of 174/4 in their quota of overs.
Suvankar smashed 6 sixes and 3 boundaries during his knock while Ritwik's innings contained 5 sixes.
Ravi Kumar bagged the wickets of Kolkata skipper and opener Toufiq Mondal while Subham Sarkar sent back Ranjot Singh Khaira (31).
