Bengal face Railways in One Day trophy opener

An upbeat Bengal Women's team will take on Railways in Women's Senior One Day trophy opener tomorrow in Surat.
Bengal has Railways, Assam, Uttarakhand, Haryana and Saurashtra in their group.
Bengal team coach Shib Sankar Pal said: "We have prepared well. My thanks to CAB who have supported and helped us to get back to training under proper guidelines after the Covid19 haul. We have played some matches too to prepare well. We will give our best on the field."
"Railways is a good team andwe are prepared well. We have done webinars, online fitness sessions during the lockdown, kept ourselves attached to the game. I think we have had the best preparation," he added.
Experienced campaigner Rumeli Dhar will lead the side that has talented players like Paromita Roy, Aparna Mondal, Pratibha Rana to keep the scoreboard going.
Pace attack led by the skipper also has Titas Sadhu and Gayatri Mal while the spinners Shreyashi Aich, Gaihar Sultana, Sushmita Ganguly are also expected to play a big role for the team.
