All-round Bengal beat J & K

All-round Bengal defeated Jammu & Kashmir by 82 runs in Vijay Hazare trophy today in Kolkata.
Put to bat first Bengal amassed a mammoth 368/4 in their quota of 50 overs and in reply they bundled the visitors for 286 runs to bag crucial 4 points from the match.
Bengal made 4 changes to their squad as Md Kaif made his debut today while Abhishek Raman, Subhankar Bal, Kaif Ahamad also found their way back to the playing XI today.
Earlier after losing opener Raman early Abhimanyu Easwaran and Ritwik Roy Chowdhury stiched a partnership of 107 runs till the latter one went back on 55.
After that Easwaran put up another 100-plus stand with skipper Anustup Majumder before missing put on a well deserved century by a whisker. Easwaran went back scoring 99 off 105 balls while Anustup stayed unbeaten tll the end on 92.
Easwaran said after the match: "It was a good batting effort in the first innings by us. Ritwik, Anustup anchored the innings well while Shahbaz and Kaif finished well. We put up a good total and on a good wicket we have defended the run pretty easily. The bolwers did a pretty good job, especially Mukhesh, Arnab. It was a good win and we will try and win the next game too."
Youngsters Kaif Ahamad scored a quickfire 27-ball 48 before being caught by Parvej Rasool off Umran Malik while Shahbaz Ahamad once again showed off his big hitting skills by smashing four sixes and as many boundaries to score 17-ball 48.
While defending Arnab Nandi danced through J&K middle order by removing Henan Nazir, Shubham Pundir, Bandeep Singh in one over and ended with a figure of 4 for 46.
J&K skipper Parvej (50) and Abid Mushtaq (68) tried to resurrect the innings after being reduced to 127/6 but were later bundled out for 286 runs.
