Points emerging from today’s discussion between
Bengal Coaching Unit and the CAB Administration

1. There is no change in Bengal Senior Coaching staff. Mr. Arun Lal would continue to be the head coach while Joydeep Mukherjee would remain in charge of Cricket Operations. Utpal Chatterjee would continue in his role as Spin Coach and Ranadeb Bose would continue to perform his role as a Bowling Coach for various Bengal sides.

2. Eye Tests would be made mandatory for all the Bengal players.

3. There would be wicket keeper’s clinic for emerging wicket keepers. Mr. Deep Dasgupta would be approached for the same.

4. A Spinners Camp by a Spin Specialist for 7-10 days may be conducted for spinners who would be selected once the Current Situation eases.

5. Stress would be given on Fitness of the players. Fitness Tests may be conducted not just prior to the season but may be conducted during the season too.

6. Emphasis on batting during practice would also be given to Bowlers to ensure more batting depth.

7. Sessions on Team Bonding and Team Spirit would be held prior to commencement of the season.

8. No date for resumption of training / practice has been finalised. The Association shall monitor the situation and take a decision in the matter in due course.

The Bengal think tank led by President Avishek Dalmiya today after a closed door meeting decided that the Bengal Senior Coaching staff will remain unchanged for the coming season.
After the meeting Mr Dalmiya said: "There is no change in Bengal Senior Coaching staff. Mr. Arun Lal would continue to be the head coach while Joydeep Mukherjee would remain in charge of Cricket Operations. Utpal Chatterjee would continue in his role as Spin Coach and Ranadeb Bose would continue to perform his role as a Bowling Coach for various Bengal sides."
Mr Dalmiya further added: "No date for resumption of training / practice has been finalised. The Association shall monitor the situation and take a decision in the matter in due course."
The other points that emerged from the meeting that was attended by Hony Secretary Snehashis Ganguly, Joint Secretary Debabrata Das, Head Coach Arun Lal and in-charge cricket operations Joydeep Mukherjee are as follows:

"A lengthy, detailed and fruitful meeting took place today. Every aspect and segment of our preparedness to slowly return to the game was discussed in great details. Performances of previous season was also reviewed. Salient points like fitness, eye tests, wicket-keeping clinics, spin camps and team bonding were discussed. The Association is confident of slowly safely and assuredly returning to the basics of the game," said Mr Avishek Dalmiya, President CAB.
