All-round Bengal U23 corner Himachal

Bengal U23 team rode on Shakir Habib Gandhi and Agniv Pan centuries to post a mammoth total of 398 runs while bowlers did a fine job to bundle Hinachal for a paltry 67 runs in Col C K Nayudu Trophy match today.
Resuming the day on 293/5 Bengal made it close to 400-run mark and after that Md Kaif bagged 4 wickets while Pradipta Pramanik and Sandipan Das picked up 3 wickets apiece to rattle Himachal batting lineup.
Bengal U23 coach Sourashis Lahiri said: "The partnership between Pan and Shakir laid the foundation of our innings. Both batted really well Karan Lal, Suraj also contributed with the bat."
"Sandipan, Suraj, Kaif and Pradipta have been absolutely superb so far and today also they performed well. The way Sandipan started was a treat to watch. The discipline is there in the bowling unit," he added.
Put to bat again the hosts lost 3 quick wickets for 50 runs to end the day trailing by 281 runs.
Earlier Shakir and Agniv stiched a 160-run partnership after Bengal lost 3 wickets for 51 runs and steadied the ship.
In the second innings Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal took 2 wickets and Sandipan bagged 1 to help Bengal take the driver's seat.
