Pradipta shines as Bengal U23 thrash Assam

Bengal U23 rode on Pradipta Pramanik's all-round to thrash Assam by 8 wickets after chasing down an easy target of 44 runs to win at Kalyani today.
Earlier Pradipta put up an outstanding all-round show by smashing a run-a-ball 65 and picked up 7 wickets to set the course for Bengal's victory at the end of the second day.
Needing only 44 to win Kazi Junaid Saifi made unbeaten 26 while Abhishek Porel scored 16 not out to win the match in 11.2 overs.
In the second innings Bengal rode on Agniv Pan (61), Karan Lal (51) and Pradipta half-centuries to post 261 in reply to the visitors' 154.
After that put to bat again Assam folded for 150 runs as Bengal bowling attack led by Pradipta made their batters' life miserable and help the hosts bag 6 points from the match.
Md Kaif and Sandipan Das were other successful bowlers for Bengal with 5 and 4 wickets respectively from the match.
