Almost 2000 donate blood to mark CAB's Foundation Day

Atotal of 1961 donors took part at the blood donation camp organised by Cricket Association of Bengal on the occasion of the 40th Frank Worrell Day today at Eden Gardens and in all the subdivisions of all the districts of West Bengal.
Cricket Association of Bengal vice-president Naresh Ojha hoisted the flag to commemorate the 92nd Foundation Day of the association and garlanded the Dr. B C Roy Statue.
Cricket Association Bengal President-elect Abhishek Dalmiya, secretary-elect Snehasish Ganguly, Jt Secy Debabrata Das, Ethics officer Justice Alok Chakraborty also graced the event.
Today's program started with the distribution of fruits and flowers among the ailing patients of Dr. B C Roy Memorial Hospital for Child and Thallssaemia Society of India. Folk band Ujaan added an air of celebration with their musical redition.
This year the blood donors will be presented with a special badge with the name of the donor inscribed on it to mark the 40th year and the certificate they get will be signed by Indian batsman Rohit Sharma.
