Bengal U19 restricted Punjab to 223/2 in at the end of the first day of Cooch Behar Trophy encounter in Kalyani today.
Punjab skipper Nehal Wadhera smashed unbeaten 86 along with Jaskaranvir Paul's patient 190-ball 55 built a strong foundation for the visitors after a decent start.
Rohit Kumar bagged 2 wickets for Bengal leaking 43 runs.
