Rain threat looms large as Bengal host Gujarat

Rain threat looms large once again at Eden Gardens as an upbeat Bengal side lock horns with Gujarat in a Ranji Trophy encounter tomorrow.
Gujarat have won their last two matches while Bengal won one and had to stay happy with 3 points only in the last.
The Abhimanyu Easwaran led side will be eager to get back to the winning ways after their disappointing first home game of the season that was curtailed by bad light and ended up in a draw.
The hosts' batting department looks solid with in form batsman Abhishek Raman opening the charge along with the skipper.
Raman has already hit back-to-back centuries so far and will be expected to carry on his fine form in this match too.
After Bengal's parctice session coach Arun Lal said: "Every match is important to us because we need points. Now Gujarat has more points than us so that makes it more important and we will give our best."
Experienced Manoj Tiwary, Kaushik Ghosh have been prolific with the willow too while Shahbaz Ahamad has also been promising with his all-round abilities.
Ritwik Roy Chowdhury is likely to make his debut tomorrow coming in the team for Sudip Chatterjee.
The visitors' batting lineup is also performing well with Priyank Panchal, Juneja, R Bhatt being in good form while in bowling department Axar Patel, R Kalaria, C Gaja, Piyush Chawla are expected throw a strong challenge.
Bengal pacers have already left a mark of their ability destructing Andhra batting lineup in the last match. Ishan Porel will lead the pack with youngster Akash Deep, Mukesh Kumar to restrict a strong Gujarat batting department.
