Bengal take on Hyderabad

18th January 2020
Bengal will be eager to get back to winning ways when they take on Hyderabad in Ranji Trophy at Bengal Cricket Academy ground tomorrow.
Bengal suffered 9-wicket defeat in their last match against Vidarbha while Hyderabad are not in a good form losing 4 out of their five matches.
Bengal skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran said: "Team's looking in good shape. We have practiced well and the players are looking focused and confident."
"We need to get runs as a group. We need to score good runs and get to a good total. You can't control things like injury. The batters have prepared well for the game and we just need to get couple of hundreds if we can," he added.
Batting looks like the main concern for the hosts right now and they will need their batters to take more responsibilities.
Manoj Tiwary looked in good touch in the last match while skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran, Abhishek Raman, Sreevats Goswami will have crucial roles to play tomorrow in Kalyani.
When asked about the wicket and gameplan the Bengal skipper said to CAB Media: "It looks good cricketing wicket. The ball might not turn from the first ball but it can gradually. We might go in with three spinners, let's see how's the wicket tomorrow morning."
As far as the spinning is concerned Shahbaz Ahamad, Arnab Nandi have been instrumental so far while Shreyn Chackraborty bagged 3 wickets on his debut in the last match.
For the visitors left-handed middle order batsman B Sandeep have made his way back into the team while Tanmay Agarwal, Akshath Reddy, Jaweed Ali will be deseperate to support with the willow.
