Shreevats continues superb form as Bengal beat MP

Shreevats Goswami continued his superb form as Bengal defeated Madhya Pradesh by 6 wickets in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy today too their hopes alive for Super League.
Electing to field first Akash Deep and Shahbaz Ahamad bagged 3 wickets apiece to bundle MP for a total of 112 runs.
Talking to CAB Media Bengal skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran said: "The equation now is that we have to win our rest of the matches while MP has to beat Haryana. Then the qualification will be decided by net run rate."
"It was a good wicket to bowl on initially. The bowlers bowled really well. They bowled in the right areas. We took their 3 wickets in first 4 overs which was obviously good for us. Really happy with Shahbaz and Akash's performance," he added.
Akash and Ishan Porel danced through MP top order to reduce them to 11/3 in just 4 overs.
Bengal bowlers continued their domination by taking wickets in regular intervals while Rajat Patidar's 31-ball 43 helped MP put up a 100-plus score.
While chasing Shreevats stayed unbeaten till the end and scored 65 not out off just 40 balls to seal the match with 5.5 overs left to play.
When asked about Shreevats' superb run the Bengal akipper said: "Sreevats is batting really well. It's lovely to watch him from the outside. He is in good touch and I hope he continues to do so."
Bengal will take on Pondicherry next on 17 November.
