Bengal U23 lose close encounter against Andhra

Bengal U23 lost against Andhra by 2 wickets in a close encounter in Men's U23 One Day Trophy today.
Batting first Bengal rode Sudin Gharami's superb 71 to post a fighting to post 239/8 in their quota of overs while Andhra chased it down with 5 balls left to play thanks to Girinadh's 107-ball 68.
Earlier Bengal lost Ankur Paul early to get reduced to 27/1 but Sudip achored the innings by building crucial partnerships with Sourav Paul (36), Kazi Saifi (35) while Suraj Jaiswal (19*) and Angshuman Chakraborty (20*) also batted well at the end.
While defending Sandipan Das gsve Bengal an early breakthrough by removing C Ganeswawar (9) in the fourth over to reduce Andhra to 15/1.
Sandipan later went to bag 4 wickets for 59 runs.
Girinadh stood tall while wickets fell around him while Uva Varma (31), Dheeraj Kumar (24) and P Manohar (30) added some crucial late runs to beat Bengal.
