Ompal, Promodh hit double hundred

The Players in the first division league have started the session with some eye raising performance. While the batsmen are hitting hundreds and double hundreds, the bowlers are also not lagging behind.
While, Ompal Boken of Mohammedan Sporting today remained unbeaten at 233, putting his team to a commanding position, against BNR, Promodh Chandila of Tapan Memorial hit 251 off 196 balls against Bhukailash Sporting.   
“The wicket is slowing down gradually. The ball was not coming to the bat, like it was yesterday. I had to bat patiently to score the runs. We are in good position now, hoping to get an outright win tomorrow,” said Ompal Boken after the end of day’s play.



MAYUKH

In another instance, Mayukh Biswas and Arjun Kumar of Rajasthan smashed 173 and 102 respectively to put their team to 476 for 6 against Kumartuli, who would be saving the match tomorrow.
“It was good a wicket to bat. I am happy that I got some runs. I will hope to carry on with my good performance this season. The wicket here has already started turning. We are expecting to get an outright win tomorrow,” Mayukh Biswash said.
Putting the bowlers in the race,  Amit Banerjee of Aryan took 7 for 43 to make ABP Sporting club follow-on by bundling them for 107 in 37.2 overs.
Vipin Chandra of YMCA College shined with both ball and bat, taking 6 wickets and scoring 126 runs against West Bengal Police club.
In other matches, Abhishek Kumar Raman and Abhishek Das scored hundred, setting a winning platform to Bhowanipore against Young Bengal Association. Prasenjit kumar Das of East Bengal remained not out 143 off 189 balls.
Among the other centurions were, Subit Biswal (130), Jayojit Basu (144), Hirak Sengupta (100) Shahbaz Anwar 172.
