Tapan memorial made a remarkable win against Kolkata union, beating them by 218 runs in a CAB First Division League match today here in Maidan.
Kolkata union keeping ahead in the first innings didn't help as Anup Barik's unbeaten 114 helped Tapan memorial reach a mammoth 445 for 2 in 53 overs. Chasing a trail of 404 runs, Kolkata union were bundled at 186 within 47.4 overs in the second essay being checked by Shahbaz Ahmad's 7 wickets haul for 114.
Also, Police athletic beat Bhukailash Sporting by 7 wickets riding a 6 wickets haul by Pappu Roy.
Sudip Gharami and Rashmi Ranjan Das scored double hundreds to add positives to Kidderpore sporting and Indian boys athletic respectively though the matches ended in draw.
Among those scoring hundreds were, Ranjit Biswas (105), Joydeep Roy (138), Soham Ghosh (131),Shuvam Dey (125), Swarnave Ghoshal (132), Sudip Rakshit (118) and Avilin Ghosh (126*).
In the bowling department, Karan Lal and Swarnendu Ghosh bagged 6 wickets respectively for their respective sides.
