Sudip hand Greer win over Bani Sports

Sudip Banerjee bagged eight wickets to hand Greer Sporting a 56 runs win over Bani Niketa Sports in a CAB second division league match today here in Maidan. Chasing Greer’s 330, Bani were bundled at 274 in 79.3 overs. Sudip took 8 for 119 runs.
In another match that saw over six hundred runs scored, Burnpur Cricket Club beat Baranagar Sporting, riding an excellent 128 off 123 balls by Tomajit Karmakar. Coming out to bat Burnpur Cricket Club chased down Baranagar’s 335 in 84.3 overs, losing eight wickets.
On the other hand, Aniket Halder’s 128 off 123 balls guided Calcutta Parsee Club a seven wicket win over Gymkhana, as they chased down 233 within 58.4 overs.
An unbeaten knock by Sanjay Bera (127) and Subrata Mirdha (113) helped Vijay Sporting and Excelsiors Club beat oppositions by nine and six wickets respectively.
Among the other batsmen who smashed hundreds for their respective sides were Sibasish Chakraborty (131), Soumyajit Roy (108), K. Bikash Rao (110) and Rahul Gupta (110).
However, while the seven wickets haul by Aniket Singh last day went in vein, as Taltala successfully defended 347 by getting Satya Sandhi all out at 248 in 76.5 overs, Avijit Mishra’s 6 for 48 helped Mohunlal beat Abasar by an emphatic 240 runs.
Among the other bowlers, Vinay Rahilla and Sk. Siddiki bagged six wickets each for their respective sides beating oppositions by 112 and 61 runs respectively.
In the other matches played, while Syed Gulzar Wasim’s five for 78 helped Amateur Cricket Club beat N. Sir Gooroodas Institute by 115 runs, Howrah Sporting beat Beta Sports by 7 wickets. Friends sporting beat Calcutta Rangers by 4 wickets.
