Bengal Women in the final

Deepti’s all-round performance rallied Bengal Women’s team to defeat Vidarbha by 37 runs in the semi-final of Plate C Senior Womens One Day League. They will play Goa in the final on 26th December.
Opting to field first, Vidarbha struck early, Deepti and Paramita Roy resurrected the innings with a partnership of 93 runs before Deepti got dismissed on 53.Paramita Roy scored 57 while Tanushree Sarkar remained unbeaten on 40 as Bengal finished their innings at 210 for 6 in 50 overs.Towards the end, Richa played an quickfire knock of 24 off 17 balls to sail Bengal past 200.
Defending 210, Nisha Maji first broke the deadlock on 41, before she scalped another two wickets to reduce Vidarbha 58 for 3. Vidarbha could not overcome the stumble asBengal bowlers picked up wickets at regular interval to fold up Vidarbha innings on 173. Deepti took three wickets and Tanushree Sarkar picked up two wickets . Two other Vidarbha batters ran themselves out as Bengal snatched a comprehensive win of 37 runs to proceed to the final.
