Bengal's inspirational run ends

Bengal succumbed to an innings and 26 runs defeat through a second innings batting collapse in the Ranji Trophy Semi-final against Delhi in Pune.
Conceding first innings lead of 112 runs, Bengal bundled out on 86. Navdeep Amarjeet Saini and Kulwant Khejroliya bowled with discipline and sheer pace which dismantled the Bengal batters.Abhishek Kumar Raman was first to go for naught as V Tokas got him caught leg before. Kunal Chandela tried a futile diving effort to grab Abhimanyu Easwaran, but the last match hero survived the scare. However, in the very next delivery, Easwaran tried to pounce on an outside off short delivery but could not keep the ball to the ground as Chandela made no mistake to grab an easy catch. Saini beat Sudeep Chatterjee with pace and the 140kmph delivery the southpaw’s off-stamp. The nightmare continued for Bengal as a huge mix-up in the middle caused Writtick Chatterjee’s wicket.
Anustup Majumder edged chasing a legside short ball to Delhi skipper Pant. Shreevats Goswami and skipper tried to steady the ship but Saini’s brilliant effort got through Tiwary’s defence to leave Bengal at 60/6. Ultimately, Bengal folded up for 86.
