Bengal colts show their muscle power

Akash Pandey scalped six wickets as Bengal colts restricted Goa to a paltry 146 on Day 1 of Cooch Behar Trophy Under-19 encounter here at Jadavpur University cricket ground. At stumps Bengal stood strong at 57/2.
Choosing to field first, Bengal was on course from the very first delivery as they took only eight balls to give first blow to the visitors. Goa could not resurrect their innings there-on as Bengal bowlers made life difficult for the visitors. Akash Pandey navigated Bengal bowling by picking up six wickets for 59 runs, while Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal and Souvik Paul shared other four wickets among them to bundle out Goa for 146 in 64 overs. In reply, Bengal lost Ranjot Singh Kharia and in-form Dibya within 28 runs.Sayan Kumar Biswas(21) and Sourav Paul(29) went to dressing room without any more wickets at 57/2.
