CAB Women’s Club Cricket Tournament 2025-26 begins

After the grand success of the first two editions, the much-awaited third edition of the CAB Women’s Club Cricket Tournament 2025-26 got underway on Thursday with four exciting matches being played across two grounds in the city.
The inaugural season in 2024 began with 10 clubs, with the number of teams being doubled to 20 the following year in 2025. To unearth more talent for cricket in Bengal and create more opportunity among the girls, CAB launched the third edition with 40 clubs.
The tournament began on Thursday with the qualifying round (T20 format) consisting of 26 teams, from which 2 top clubs will qualify for the main phase.
MATCH RESULTS:
🏏Y.M.C.A. (Coll Br.) (158/5 in 20 Overs) vs Star Sporting Club (86/8 in 20 Overs). Y.M.C.A. (Coll Br.) won by 72 runs. Neha Shaw 58 (48)- Y.M.C.A. (Coll Br.).
🏏Calcutta Cricket Club (128/3 in 19 Overs) vs Calcutta Rangers Club (70/10 in 18 Overs). Calcutta Cricket Club won by 58 runs. Srinja Bhattacharjee 35 (30)- Calcutta Cricket Club.
🏏Burnpur Cricket Club (51/10 in 17 Overs) vs Cossipore Club (55/1 in 4.4 Overs). Cossipore Club won by 9 wickets. Shreya Sarkar 3-1- Cossipore Club.
🏏Amateur Cricket Club (120/5 in 20 Overs) vs Uttarpalli Milan Sangha (121/4 in 16 Overs). Uttarpalli Milan Sangha won by 6 wickets. Rita Hansda 19* (18) & 3-25- Uttarpalli Milan Sangha.
