Bengal Women disperse Chattisgarh

Batters capitalised on the well-set platform provided by the bowlers as Bengal Women's team brushed aside Chattisgarh by 8 wickets in their Group C tie in the Senior Women's One Day League at the Bengal Cricket Academy Ground, Kalyani.
Chasing the target of 120, Bengal lost two wickets within 15 runs. But in-form Deepti and Skipper Tanushree Sarkar took control of the game thereon as both achieved the target with ease with 17.4 overs remaining. Deepti remained unbeaten on 51, while Skipper did not miss out half-century this time with her unbeaten 54.
Earlier, Bengal bowlers proved their superiority overs Chattisgarh batters as they picked up wickets at regular intervals. Four run-outs eased task as Bengal restricted the visitors to 119. Saika Ishaque again turned out to be the most successful bowlers by taking three wickets. Tanushree Sarkar scalped two wickets while Deepti got a wicket.
