Bengal end 2025 with stunning victory in Vijay Hazare Trophy

Bengal's lethal pace trio of Md Shami, Mukesh Kumar and Akash Deep powered team to a stunning nine-wicket victory over Jammu & Kashmir in the Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite on Wednesday.
The victory helped Bengal end 2025 with a statement performance.
Opting to bowl at the Sanosora Cricket Ground A in Rajkot, Mukesh (4-16 in 6 overs), Akash Deep (4-32 in 8.4 overs) and Shami (2-14 in 6 overs) displayed a dominant effort, taking just 20.4 overs to bowl out J&K for 63.
In reply, Bengal went over the line comfortably, scoring 64/1 in 9.3 overs. Abishek Porel (30 off 26) and Sudip Kumar Gharami (25 off 27) remained unbeaten for Bengal.
Today's win with 243 balls remaining in the second innings is the second fastest to victory by Bengal in the tournament's history after their win (with 262 balls remaining) against Mizoram in 2022.
