Bengal script big win in Vijay Merchant Trophy

A superb all-round performance helped Bengal outclass Manipur by an innings and 239 runs in the Vijay Merchant Trophy Elite match in Cuttack on Wednesday.
After posting 452/6 decl in their first innings, Bengal bowled out Manipur for 90 in their first innings.
Following on, Manipur were bundled out for 123 in their second innings on the third and final day.
For Bengal, Koushik Bouri (3-26), Triparna Samanta (3-25), Sayak Jana (2-31), Uthsav Shukla (2-35) were brilliant with the ball.
