Bengal bagged first innings lead after their Vijay Merchant Trophy Elite against Kerala ended in a draw in Cuttack on Saturday.
After bowling out Kerala for 178, Bengal posted 193 in their first innings to bag the all-important first innings lead.
Kerala, in their second innings, scored 207/9 to hand a challenging target to Bengal. Akash Yadav bagged three wickets while Triparna Samanta claimed two for Bengal.
Bengal, in their second innings, were 128/8 at stumps on the third and final day. Skipper Rajesh Mondal (68) top-scored for Bengal.
