Skipper Rajesh scores 57 for Bengal in Vijay Merchant Trophy

Bengal U16 skipper Rajesh Mondal led from the front with a fighting 57 against Jharkhand on Day 1 in the Vijay Merchant Trophy Elite in Cuttack on Friday.
Batting first, Bengal managed to score 221 in their first innings. Besides Rajesh, Sayak Jana (43) and Prabin Chhetri (42) made handy contributions.
For Jharkhand, Yuvraj Singh and Anukrishna Vats bagged three wickets each.
In reply, Jharkhand were 17/0 at stumps on the opening day, trailing by 204 runs.
