Top-four batters hit half centuries for Bengal in Cooch Behar Trophy

A fine batting performance put Bengal U-19 on top at the end of Day 1 against Goa in the Cooch Behar Trophy Elite match on Monday.
Put into bat at the Bengal Cricket Academy, Kalyani, Bengal’s top-order gave the hosts a positive start.
Aditya Roy (79), Atmaja Mondal (63), Abhiprai Biswas (56) and skipper Chandrahas Dash (55) all scored half centuries each as Bengal posted 293/5 in 90 overs at stumps on the opening day.
Sayan Paul (33) and Ashutosh Kumar (5) remained unbeaten for the home side.
For Goa, Shiven Borkar bagged two wickets.
