Bengal down Madhya Pradesh in Super Over to make
semifinals in Men’s U23 State A Trophy Elite

In a thrilling quarterfinal match, Bengal went past Madhya Pradesh in the Super Over after the Men’s U23 State A Trophy match in Mumbai on Tuesday was tied.
Batting first in the Super Over, Madhya Pradesh managed only 5/0. In reply, Bengal went over the line scoring 11/0 in 4 balls, with skipper Shashank Singh scoring an unbeaten 10 off 3 balls, which included one four and a six.
Earlier, batting first, Bengal scored 190 in 50 overs. Sumit Nag (50), Ravi Kumar (44) impressed.
In reply, Madhya Pradesh were bundled out for 190 in 42.1 overs. Sukhmeet Singh (4-40), Irshad Alam (2-23), Ravi Kumar (1-36), Sayed Irfan Aftab (1-35) were superb with the ball for Bengal.
