Chandrahas’ sublime 332 puts Bengal U-19 on top in Cooch Behar Trophy
Bengal U-19 skipper Chandrahas Dash scored his maiden Youth First Class triple hundred to put Bengal in a commanding position at the end of the second day against Chandigarh in the Cooch Behar Trophy Elite match at the Bengal Cricket Academy, Kalyani, on Monday.
Chandrahas slammed an outstanding 332 off just 319 balls which included 53 fours and 10 sixes. His knock helped Bengal post a mammoth 628/7 decl in their first innings. Sayan Paul (113) Ashutosh Kumar (53 not out) also made useful contributions for the home side.
In reply, Chandigarh were bundled out for 122. Rohit (5-18), Ashutosh (2-1) and Agastya Shukla (2-30) were brilliant with the ball for Bengal.
Following on, Chandigarh were 17 for no loss at stumps on the second day, still trailing by 489 runs.
