Abishek hits unbeaten 101 as practice match ends in draw

Bengal's young and talented wicketkeeper-batsman Abishek Porel warmed up for the upcoming domestic season in style by smashing a brilliant unbeaten 101 against Jharkhand.
The first practice match at the Bengal Cricket Academy, Kalyani, between Bengal and Jharkhand, ended in a draw on Wednesday.
Batting first, Bengal senior men’s team managed to post 279/6 decl in 65.3 overs in their first innings.
Besides Abishek, Kazi Junaid Saifi (58), Anustup Majumdar (44), Vishal Bhati (23) scored crucial runs.
In reply, Jharkhand were 106/1 in 23 overs when rain stopped play. With the weather showing no signs of improvement, the match was called off, resulting in a draw.
Rahul Prasad bagged the only wicket for Bengal.
