Sourav, Writtik in Bengal Ranji squad

A steely jawed Bengal Team leave for Punjab tomorrow with a 16 member squad that has two new faces Saurav Singh and Writtik Roy Choudhury.
The duo come into the squad in place of Wriddhiman Saha and Md Shami who join the Indian team for the three Test series against Sri lanka. Koushik Ghosh would also be unavailable as he ia unwell.
The Bengal thinktank along with President Sourav Ganguly and Jt Secretary Avishek Dalmiya had a meeting with the skipper and coach before the new squad was given. Later coach Sairaj Bahutule said: "It happens with teams that in one game nothing clicks. The Vidharbha match was one such game. Im sure we will come back strongly against Punjab. We have septh and talent in each department. We have also included fresh blood intobthe squad. The boys are upbeat and have a positive frame of mind. The meeting was very positive and we received several good suggestions."
Skipper Manoj Tiwary said: It was very diaappointing to have caved in like the way we did. But we know the situation we are in and this Punjab match ia veruy crucial for us as the choice wuld be between both of us. So we will do everything within our capacity to win the last two games."
On a personal front Manoj said he was getting starts and would like to convert those into big scores. And there would be no better time to do it than the last two matches.
