First Div Final: East Bengal 147/4 on Day

Bhawanipore Club scored a mammoth 643/6 decl in 170 overs in their first innings against East Bengal Club in the First Division Championship final at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday.
Shakir Habib Gandhi (220), Vivek Singh (176 not out), Abhishek Raman (93), Arindam Ghosh (57) and Pradipta Pramanik (48) were the star performers with the bat.
For East Bengal, Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal and Vikas Singh bagged 2 wickets each while Writtick Chatterjee and Kanisk Seth claimed one each.
In reply, East Bengal, in their first innings, were 147/4 in 70 overs at stumps on the fourth and penultimate day.
Satyaki Dutta (53), Akash Ghatak (32) were the pick of the batters.
At stumps, Writtick (12) and Ayan Bhattacharya (12) remained unbeaten.
For Bhawanipore, Rajkumar Pal, Ravi Kumar, Anubhav Tyagi and Jayojit Basu bagged a wicket each.
