Suburban Club crowned champions
of Second Div Championship

Suburban Club outclassed Behala Friends Union Club by 97 runs in the summit clash at the Eden Gardens on Tuesday to emerge champions of Second Division Championship.
Batting first, Suburban Club scored 284/5 in 49 overs. Alok Sharma (101), Pratik Dutta (54), Dipak Prasad (45 not out) and Gautam Verma (27 not out) were the star performers with the bat.
For Behala Friends Union Club, Asparsh Singh was the pick of the bowlers bagging 2 wickets.
Chasing a revised target of 233 in 40 overs on the third and final day, Behala Friends Union Club managed to score only 135/8 in 40 overs.
For Suburban Club, Monomit Mitra (4-64), Abhishant (2-9) and Md Ashif (2-18) were superb with the ball.
