In the J.C Mukherjee T20 Tournament Pre-Quarterfinals on Thursday, both the batsmen and bowlers impressed.
In the first match, Barisha Sporting Club beat Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club by 91 runs. Ayush Kumar Singh (83 off 44), Karan Lal (60 off 44), Kazi Junaid Saifi (31 not out off 18), Sumanta Gupta (24 not out off 8) helped Barisha Sporting Club post 222/2 in 19 overs. In reply, Calcutta Port Trust Sports Club were bowled out for 131 in 20 overs. Ankit Mishra bagged 3 for 21 while Balkesh Yadav, Rohit Ghosh and Karan bagged two wickets each.
In other matches, Town Club beat E.Rly.Sports Association by 6 wickets. Deepanshu Chaudhary (95 off 56), Priyam Sarkar (36) helped E.Rly.Sports Association post 182/5 in 20 overs. Mithilesh Das bagged 2 for 26. In reply, Town Club scored 183/4 in 18.5 overs. Mithilesh (64 off 39), Yuvraj Deepak Keswani (38 not out) impressed with the bat.
Tapan Memorial Club beat Ballygunge United Club by 13 runs. Kaif Ahmed (40), Ramesh Prasad (34) helped Tapan Memorial Club post 132/7 in 20 overs. Soutrik Das and Abir Chatterjee bagged 2 wickets each. In reply, Ballygunge United Club scored 119 in 19.3 overs. Swarnave Ghosal scored 39. Juber bagged 4 for 7 while Prayas Ray Barman and Ankush Tyagi claimed 2 each.
Kalighat Club beat Aryan Club by 8 wickets. Uddipan Mukherjee (48 not out) helped Aryan Club post 135/9 in 19 overs. Kaushik Maity bagged 3 for 31 while Pritam Chakraborty, Arun Chaprana and Sayan Sekhar Mondal claimed 2 each. In reply, Kalighat Club scored 136/2 in 11.3 overs, thanks to Subham Chatterjee (68 not out off 30), Writam Porel (39 off 20), Sayan (18).
