Jesal (4-36) impress in First Div One-Day semifinals

Bhowanipur Club will take on E. Rly. Sports Association in the final of First Division Senior Knockout One-Day Tournament after both the teams bagged wins in their respective semifinal matches on Saturday.
In the first match, Aamir Gani (112 not out), Jesal Karia (4-36), Ravi Kumar (3-41), Chirag (72) helped Bhowanipur Club beat Barisha Sporting Club by 94 runs.
Batting first, Bhowanipur Club scored 291/8 in 50 overs. Soummyadip Manna (4-59) and Rahul Basfore (2-52) were the pick of the Barisha Sporting bowlers.
In reply, Barisha Sporting were bowled out for 197 in 39.5 overs. Kazi Junaid Saifi (87) and Karan Lal (55) played fighting knocks. Rajkumar Pal bagged 2 for 34.
In the second match, Nikhil Singh bagged an impressive 5 for 49 followed by a smashing a match-winning 82 as E. Rly. Sports Association beat East Bengal Club by 2 wickets.
Batting first, Writtick Chatterjee (100) and Agniv Pan (100) batted superbly as East Bengal Club scored 245 in 50 overs. Swapnil Choudhary bagged 3 wickets.
In reply, E. Rly. Sports Association chased it down scoring 248/8 in 49.5 overs. Saiket Das scored an unbeaten 54. For East Bengal, Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal, Writtick and Shreyan Chakrabarty bagged 2 wickets each.
