victory in First Div Relegation decider

Riding on a brilliant batting performance, YMCA (College Branch) chased down a mammoth total to beat BNR Recreation Club by 1 wicket in the CAB First Division Relegation Tournament deciding match at the JU 2nd Campus ground, Salt Lake, on Tuesday.
Chasing a challenging 399 to win, YMCA (College Branch) went over the line, scoring 401/9 in 84 overs on Day 2. Bharat Naidu (117), Rahamat Gayen (65), Gaurav Kumar (59), Dipak Shaw (63 not out) were superb with the bat.
For BNR Recreation Club, Abhijeet Bhagat bagged 3 for 72 while Suman Das and Dharmendra Thakur claimed two each.
Earlier, batting first on Day 1, Mohammad Irfan (132 off 120) and Hamza Ali (100 off 131) helped BNR Recreation Club post 398/7 in 85 overs.
For YMCA (College Branch), Adil Alvi was the pick of the bowlers bagging 2 for 103.
