In the CAB Second Division League First Round encounters on Sunday, the bowlers dominated the batters on Day 2.
In the first match, Suman Sethi (6-102), Anurag Roy (104) and Abhijoy Saha (101) helped Baranagar Sporting Club beat Measurers Club by 237 runs. Baranagar Sporting Club scored 495. Measurers Club scored 258, thanks to Saqib Ansari (56).
In other matches, Sachin Dubey (96 not out), Victor Upadhaya (70) Sahul (6-38) helped Taltala Institute beat Victoria Sporting Club by 8 wickets. Victoria Sporting Club scored 248. In reply, Taltala Institute scored 251/2.
Anand Sharma (5-56), Tushar Mondal (5-67) helped Wari Athletic Club beat Mauri Sporting Club by 113 runs. Wari Athletic Club posted 257. Mauri Sporting Club scored just 144.
Ram Sen (5-61), Soumyadeep Poddar (101) helped Taltala Ekata Sangha beat Alipore Sporting Club by 95 runs. Taltala Ekata Sangha posted 345/9. Alipore Sporting Club scored 250.
Nitya Nanda Maji (188), Kunal Bose (4-31) and Pitam Das (3-44) helped West Bengal Police Sports Club beat Bansdroni Young Bengal Sporting Association by 163 runs. West Bengal Police Sports Club scored 379. Bansdroni Young Bengal Sporting Association scored 216, thanks to Bishal Sikari (102).
Jahir Khan (3-39), Vikash Meena (3-141), Lohit Singh (160) and Sagar Dey (116) helped Aurora Athletic Association beat Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute by 23 runs. Aurora Athletic Association scored 438/6. In reply, despite brilliant tons by Bivanshu (141) and Raheel Ghorai (134), Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute fell short scoring 415.
Asish Bera (3-23), Subhadip Barman (125) and Pradunya Sarkar (124, 1-39) helped Behala Friends Union Club beat National Athletic Club by 146 runs. Behala Friends Union Club scored 397/9. National Athletic Club scored 251.
Amit Banerjee (4-119), Suman Dey (3-43) helped Cricket Club of Bhowanipur beat Howrah Union by 42 runs. Cricket Club of Bhowanipur posted 293/9. In reply, Howrah Union scored 251, thanks to Satender Singh (84).
Rohit Das (4-61), Binoy Tirkey (2-54) helped Friends Sporting Union beat International Club by 66 runs. Friends Sporting Union scored 266. International Club scored just 200. Abhishek Mitra scored 71.
Amit Kumar Saha (3-65), Soumyadeep Sharma (2-45) helped White Border Club beat Gymkhana by 1 run. White Border Club scored 247. In reply, Gymkhana scored 246.
Pranjal Das (72 not out), Soubhagya Sundar Pakreh (4-52) and Soumyajit Dutta (3-50) helped Balak Sangha beat YMCA (Chow Br) by 3 wickets. YMCA (Chow Br) scored 181. Balak Sangha scored 184/7. Rudraneel Das bagged an impressive 5 for 55.
