Women’s Club League One-Day Qualifiers

The CAB Women’s Club Cricket League One-Day Tournament commenced on Thursday with four thrilling qualifying matches being played at different grounds across the Maidan.
In the first match, Komal Jaiswal bagged an impressive 5 for 18 as Ariadaha Sporting Club beat Gymkhana by 53 runs. Ariadaha Sporting Club scored 100 in 34.4 overs. Nandani Biswas and Priyosi Aich bagged 3 wickets each.
In reply, Gymkhana were bundled out for just 47 in 18.3 overs. Radhika Kumari and Priya Pandey bagged 2 wickets each.
In the second match, Anupriya Verma (47, 3-20) helped Calcutta Police Club beat Cricket Club of Dhakuria by 1 wicket. Cricket Club of Dhakuria scored 192/8 in 45 overs. Aditi Sharma scored 39.
In reply, Calcutta Police Club scored 193/9 in 44.2 overs. Manisa Mondal and Koyel Sarkar bagged 2 wickets each.
In the third match, Smriti Goswami (3-22) and Ria Kanti (3-22) helped Salkia Friends Association beat Amateur Cricket Club by 4 wickets. Amateur Cricket Club’s Bhavna Jha bagged a superb 5 for 19.
Batting first, Amateur Cricket Club scored 154 in 40.2 overs. Mukta Roy scored 39. Ditsa Mahapatra and Nimisha Das bagged 2 wickets each. In reply, Salkia Friends Association scored 158/6, thanks to Shikha Sarkar (36).
In the fourth match, City AC beat Central Calcutta Sporting Club by 8 wickets. Batting first, Central Calcutta Sporting Club were bowled out for 116 in 36 overs. Namrata Chandra (3-15), Arpita Yadav (2-28) and Riyasa Mondal (1-1) were the pick of the bowlers.
In reply, City AC scored 117/2 in 26.1 overs. Abhika Biswas (39 not out) and Riyasa (22) impressed with the bat.
