In the Inter District Under-14 Girl’s One-Day league-cum-knockout tournament on Thursday, both the batters and bowlers impressed.
In the first match, Shruti Sinha bagged an impressive 6 wickets for 4 runs as Combined District U-14 Girls A beat Burdwan DSA by 8 wickets. Burdwan DSA scored just 66. Combined District U-14 Girls A scored 67/2. Debosmita Roy scored 25.
In other matches, Namrata Chandra (60), Chandra Bayen (4-5), Subarna Mondal (3-19) helped Birbhum DSA beat Siliguri MKP by 134 runs. Birbhum DSA scored 162/5. In reply, Siliguri MKP were bundled out for 28.
Arpita Bhowmick (47), Srijeeta Biswas (23), Shyla Senapati (2-0) helped North 24-PGS DSA beat Bankura DSA by 137 runs. North 24-PGS DSA scored 189/4. Bankura DSA scored 52/4.
The Hooghly DSA vs Chandernagore SA match was abandoned due to rain.
