on rain-hit day in First Div League

In the CAB First Division Super League Group A encounters on Thursday, Md Sporting Club posted 347 in their first innings as rain affected play on the second day.
Gitimoy Basu scored a fine 142. Deepak Punia was the pick of the bowlers bagging an impressive 5 for 57. In reply, Kidderpore Sporting Club were 30/3 at stumps. Nilkantha Das bagged 3 wickets.
In the other matches, Barisha Sporting Club managed to score 47/1 in their first innings as only 19 overs were possible on a rain-hit Day 1. Lakshya Kochar scored unbeaten 27. For Town Club, Saksham Chaudhary bagged one wicket.
Kalighat Club were 15/0 in their first innings against Mohun Bagan AC at stumps as only 7.3 overs were possible due to rain on the opening day.
The other two matches, Calcutta Customs Club vs United Club and Tapan Memorial Club vs Bhowanipur Club were called off for the day due to rain.
