In the CAB Second Division League two-day encounters on Saturday, both the bowlers and batters impressed.
In the first match, Kamalesh Adak (158 not out) and Sayan Parui (107 not out) helped Mauri Sporting Club post 414/4. For WB Association of the Deaf, Raj Sagar bagged 2 wickets.
In other matches, Afnan Molla (7-56), Haris Khan (62) helped Bata Sports Club beat Central Calcutta Sporting Club by 8 wickets. Central Calcutta Sporting Club scored 151. Bata Sports Club scored 153/2.
Samarjeet Singh (132) and Harihar Sarkar (74) batted superbly as Ariadaha Sporting Club posted 332. Aditya Dutta bagged 4 for 90. Bani Niketan Sports Club scored 11/1 at stumps.
Sparsh Mimani (101), Banti Mondal (54) helped Amateur Cricket Club post 359/8. For Albert Sporting Club, Amit Shaw (4-105) and Showmajit Khaskel (3-128) impressed.
Friends Athletic Club’s Vilas Joshi bagged an impressive 6 for 82. Cossipore Club posted 244, thanks to Satyam Patra (66). In reply, Friends Athletic Club scored 76/2 at stumps. Aayan Ibrahim scored 60.
Monomit Mitra (6-130), Sarit Dutta (3-122), Dipak Prasad (139), Abhishant (122) helped Suburban Club beat West Bengal Police Sports Club by 143 runs. Suburban Club scored 489/9. West Bengal Police Sports Club scored 346, thanks to Nitya Nanda Maji (68) and Bishal Roy Choudhury (51).
Meetul Sah (4-21), Soham Misra (3-4), Rajesh Mondal (39) helped Sarat Samity beat Abasar by 9 wickets. Abasar scored 68. Sarat Samity scored 74/1.
Yash Sharma (93) helped Satya Sandhi post 226. Rohit Das bagged 3 for 53. In reply, Friends Union Club were 16/0 at stumps.
Zaid Aktar (62), Anup Sanyashi (58), Anweshan Nath (59) helped Victoria Sporting Club post 322. Raayan Nadeem bagged 4 wickets while Dhirendra Pandey clinched 3. Calcutta University Institute were 9/0 at stumps.
Calcutta Rangers posted 231, thanks to Imam Ul Haque (71), Ankit Sharma (54). Krishna Basfore and Partha Kundu bagged 4 wickets each. In reply, Narkeldanga Sir Gooroodas Institute posted 137/1, thanks to Bivanshu (82).
