In the CAB First Division Super League Group A encounters on Friday, both the batsmen and bowlers dominated, displaying some outstanding performances.
In the first match, Chinmay Jain scored a fine 118 along with Manendra (61) as Md Sporting Club scored 300/7 in their first innings at stumps on Day 1. For East Bengal Club, Sumit Mohanta and Shreyan Chakraborty bagged two wickets each.
In other matches, Saurabh Singh smashed a brilliant unbeaten 112 as Kidderpore Sporting Club scored 249 in their first innings. Pradipta Pramanik (5-58) and Ravi Kumar (3-75) impressed with the ball. In reply, Bhowanipur Club were 4/0 at stumps on Day 1.
Kalighat Club managed to post 280 in their first innings. In reply, Calcutta Customs Club were 178/8 at stumps on Day 2. Ankit Shukla (73 not out) and Abhisek Tamang (55) impressed with the bat. For Kalighat, Pritam Chakraborty (4-67) and Ravi Kant Singh (3-50) impressed.
Kazi Junaid Saifi (53 not out) and Lakshya Kochar (47) helped Barisha Sporting Club post 110/2 in their first innings at stumps on Day 1. For United Club, Sukhmeet Singh and Jeet Thakur bagged one wicket each.
Naved Ahmad (56), Aishik Patel (45) helped Town Club post 255/8 in their first innings at stumps. For Tapan Memorial Club, Ankush Tyagi (4-79), Rishabh Vivek (2-37) impressed with the ball.
