In the first match, Jayojit Basu (111 not out) and Shakir Habib Gandhi (85 not out) batted superbly as Bhowanipur Club posted 235/2 at stumps in their first innings. Earlier, Satyaki Dutta (128), Akash Ghatak (108) and Writtick Chatterjee (69) helped East Bengal Club post 461/9 in their first innings. For Bhowanipur Club, Lalit Yadav and Aamir Gani bagged three wickets.
In other matches, Tapan Memorial Club bagged first innings lead after their match against United Club ended in a draw. After bowling out United Club for 260, Tapan Memorial Club scored 473/8.
