In the CAB Second Division League two-day league encounters on Monday, both the batters and bowlers impressed on Day 2.
In the first match, Debashish Karmakar (108, 3-73), Ranjit Show (82) helped Central Calcutta Sporting Club beat Excelsiors Club by 5 wickets. Excelsiors Club posted 275. In reply, Central Calcutta Sporting Club scored 279/5.
In other matches, WB Association of the Deaf’s Raj Sagar bagged an impressive 7 for 70. Sourav Poddar (6-56), Sayan Mondal (4-68), Md Sahid Sardar (39), Pratip Roy (39) helped Bantra Cricket Club beat WB Association of the Deaf by 2 wickets. WB Association of the Deaf scored just 183. In reply, Bantra Cricket Club scored 187/8.
Binit Debnath (106), Arghyaa Ghosh (84, 3-40), Soham Manna (50) helped Mauri Sporting Club beat Friends Athletic Club by 4 wickets. Dipanshu Upadhyay (125) helped Friends Athletic Club post 325. In reply, Mauri Sporting Club scored 326/6.
Krish Singh (5-45), Agastya Shukla (54, 4-35), Akash Agrahari (57) helped Alipore Sporting Club beat Ballygunge Sporting Association by 92 runs. Alipore Sporting Club posted 239. In reply, Ballygunge Sporting Association scored 147
Haris Khan (52), Afnan Molla (4-66) helped Bata Sports Club beat Calcutta Rangers by 4 wickets. Calcutta Rangers scored 190. In reply, Bata Sports Club scored 193/6.
